I went to the Charleston Wine + Food Festival’s Cans and Kegs event at the beginning of March and little did I know at the time that it would be the last “event” that I would attend before the COVID-19 quarantine.  Although I am missing traveling and being with people so much, I am thankful my last big outing was a memorable one!

It was my first time at one of Charleston’s festivals and it was such a fun event – from the food to the canned wines – I left happy and full! I enjoy snacking and grazing, so I was in heaven with all of the little bites and appetizers.  My favorites were the cooked salmon with a horseradish and beat relish and cinnamon toast crunch cookie bar.  Oh, and homemade donuts!  The weather was incredible, so it made for an all around perfect day.

While I was there, I discovered Bridge Lane Wines and was immediately drawn to the simple, bright logo on their cans.  I tried their Rose and Bubbles at the event and ended up connecting with them thereafter. 

Let’s just say that I received a 4-pack each of Bridge Lane Wines’ Rose, Bubbles and Sauvignon Blanc canned wines a little over a week ago and I only have one left.  With this quarantine, I think we can all agree that alcohol disappears far too quickly (and I did share 2 of them!)! The cans are especially great for boat rides and the beach – I’ve been lucky enough to have some family friends that have boats and we’ve been able to enjoy the fresh air, sunshine and saltwater during this quarantine (keeping in line with the social distancing recommendations of course!).
